Services and Coaching Fees
Once you are ready to work with a coach we will begin
with an initial consultation meeting either in person or via email and
phone. During this consultation we will discuss the information necessary
to begin your training program. There is a $50 fee for the initial consultation.
The meeting will focus on how your program will be structured based on
This information includes:
Any current or previous conditions which may impact
your ability to train/compete; such as exercise induced asthma or orthopedic
issues such as back or knee problems.
Athletic background; (non-cycling)
Level of experience competitive sports and
cross-training methods such as running or weight training.
Experience in cycling, both training and competition.
Goals- divided into categories: this seasons goals
(including the most important races on your schedule), and long term,
beyond the season. These goals can be either objective (measurable via
time, speed or results) or subjective, such as improving your sprint,
hill climbing or mass start racing tactics.
How much time you have each day of the week for training.
These are the tools necessary for constructing your
training program. Once this information has been covered then we are ready
to begin building your plan.
Next you will receive a Terminology document, this explains the terms
used in your training program. After our meeting I will develop your training
program, and we will begin our work together toward achieving your goals.
Monthly Coaching Program
Monthly training programs are $150. This includes your daily program for
cycling and weight training or cross training. It is your responsibility
to complete weekly logs and return them each week for review, so any necessary
revision can be made to your training program.
Individual Coaching Sessions
Individual coaching sessions are $50 per session. There are usually at
least two of these with new clients; one to go for a ride and review the
terms, so you understand how to execute drills properly. During this session
we may also cover or at least review other items such bike handling skills
and your fit/position on the bike. The second is to go to the gym to go
over your weight-training program, what the exercises are and how to have
proper form and technique.
Group Training Sessions
Participation in-group workouts are $20 for invitational workouts, which
are usually just my athletes and possibly a few other individuals that
have been invited to our workouts.
Coaching on race day depends on the event. Local events are usually $20
per session. Any event involving travel and expenses will have the coach’s
expenses divided evenly across all athletes on that trip. Coaching fees
still apply. Championship events are $30 a session or $50 a day
